Traveling Crochet….

Yesterday we headed out on our 2 1/2 hour journey through the mountain roads to our daughters Varsity Volleyball Game… Oh what fun!!!  Hmmm… I needed a project to take for the road trip… I have been making so many Amazing Grace Hats… I needed something new!!!  I purchased some self striping yarn recently and wanted to use it… so this is what I started…

Chevron Scarf…

Love the color changes…

I used DROPS delight 13, it’s a fingering weight wool mix… I used a G Hook in a Single Crochet Chevron pattern… This will be 6″ wide and the length still to be determined… I think it will take 2-3 balls of this gorgeous yarn.. I will update when it is finished.. The yarn is  $4.89 US per skein and they do flat rate shipping… so I ordered several skeins… Love it…

Also using this yarn… From last week’s 2nd place Fan Favorite Slouch Beanie... If you remember my last post.. My 17-year-old wanted this hat… This inspired me to order this yarn originally and make it… Here is a picture of the finished hat using DROPS Delight 10…

DROPS Design Slouch Beanie…

My daughter loved her new hat… And.. Yes,,, They won their Volleyball Game… 3 hours of a very closely matched game and we were headed back home…

So here is to Road Trip Projects, Self Striping Yarn and 17-year-old daughters!.
