Granny Bag….

.

A Beautiful Granny Bag…  It was time for something new!…  With all the baby items I made for Alpine Originals last month… And working on my own Sunburst Granny Square Blanket… I was so excited to create something new and different!  I love bags and purses!  A couple of weeks ago I posted my Market Bags that were made for the shop and this beautiful bag will be making its way to Alpine Originals as well.

This purse is made using 13 Granny Squares with the joining method I found at Attic 24, I love all the great info she give us crocheters!  I used Caron Pounder in cream as my yarn choice, Bamboo Handle and not showing,,,, A satin liner in Cheetah Print… Super Cute!

.

I have seen tons of Granny Square Bags all over crochet sites lately and was very inspired!  I want to make some colorful ones, large ones and small ones, tons of them… This was really a fun project!! Stay tuned to see what bags come next… And,,, Another Free Pattern is in the works!

It’s Almost Done… National Crochet Month & Sunburst Granny!

.

I decided to get busy on my Sunburst Granny Square Blanket ..  I’m still not sure of the size I want though, … I now have 45 squares complete and will need somewhere between 48-63 squares to make a nice size blanket!  I am tempted to stop at 48 so I can join them and put an edging on…   I only need 48 to make a twin topper,,, 63 for a queen… Hmmmm!  Well, I will have to decide tonight… I actually could have this beautiful blanket done this weekend if I do 48 squares!

This reminds me of my childhood bedroom colors… My Grandmother Beatrice Ryan Ramshaw painted my room purple for me when I was 8 years old… Loved it!  She made a crochet loopy rug in these colors for my floor… I wish I still had it… Maybe I should make a replica!

.

Don’t forget this is still National Crochet Month… Stretch yourself into learning how to crochet, reading patterns or new stitches!

Easter Granny Square Baby Blanket

.

It’s almost Easter and I couldn’t resist making another sweet Granny Baby Blanket….

.

When I was looking through my stash, trying to decide what to make next… I kept picking up these beautiful Eastery skeins of yarn!   Hmmm… What to make???  Well, if you have been following my recent posts about the Art Walk in our town you will remember that the store I sell my items is participating in the event… Alpine Originals carries handmade items that are created by local artist (me included).  This month their store’s theme for the Art Walk is children’s items, and I have been making quite a few.  I thought I was done with blankets,,, but no… this yarn kept calling me and my hook to get to work…

That’s not the only one though… I am almost done with the next baby blanket,,,  Am I obsessed with baby blankets or what???  The next one is a Camo Granny Square Blanket,,, It is about 3/4 done and I should have it complete just in time for this Friday’s Art Walk…  I will post a picture of it when it’s done…

So here is to Baby Blankets and Granny Squares….
