The Easy Elegant Shawl… Free Pattern is so fun to make and only uses 2 skeins of Red Heart Roll With It Melange! Best of all this is another Free Crochet Pattern! Simple stitching with just 2 different repeat rows… Just increase at each end and the tip and Voila!

Yarn: 775 yards worsted weight yarn #4. I used 2 skeins of Red Heart Roll with It Melange in the Color – Catwalk
Hook: J
Scissors and Place Markers
Stitches:
- St – Stitch
- Ch – Chain
- Sp – Space
- Sk – Skip
- Sc – Single Crochet
- Hdc – Half Double Crochet
- Dc – Double Crochet
- Trc – Treble Crochet
- X St – X Stitch: Sk next St, Dc in following st, Dc in previous skipped st
- Boxed Edging Stitch: 2 Trc in indicated space, work 4 dc around the posts of both Trc just made
Instructions:
Ch 3 and join to form a circle
Row 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in center of ring, join with sl st to 1st sc. = 6 sc
Row 2: Ch 3(counts as dc now and throughout), 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next st, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next st, hdc in next st, (2hdc, dc) in next st, leave last st unworked. = 3 dc & 8 hdc
Tip: Place marker in the top of beginning ch st, middle tip st and last st, move your markers as you go. This will make it easier to identify these stitches as you work your project
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 4 sts, (hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, hdc in next 4 sts, (2hdc, dc) in last st. = 3dc & 14 hdc
Row 4: Ch 3, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 7 sts, (hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, hdc in next 7 sts, (2hdc, dc) in last st. = 3dc & 20 hdc
Row 5: Ch 3, turn, 2 hdc in same st, hdc in next 10 sts, (hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, hdc in next 10 sts, (2hdc, dc) in last st. = 3dc & 26 hdc
