Saturday Night Free Pattern Review…

This week I decided to make some of the free patterns I have been featuring over on Facebook… Each day I host a segment “Daily Free Pattern Find… Would you wear/use it… Would you make it…” and provide the link for the free pattern… So many of them have been inspiring!  So this week I chose two of the patterns to make and review…

.

The first pattern was “Linda’s Snowflake Potholder”… This was a wonderful pattern and easy to follow… I made 2 of them up in just a couple of hours…  They are double thick, so you make 2 of each square and crochet them together.  I want to make an afghan using this pattern in the near future…  One of my favorite patterns for 2013!!  Click HERE for the link to the Free Pattern!

These are my finished projects…  Love, Love, Love!

.

The second pattern I decided to test from the segment was a big hit with my friends at Alpine Originals (the shop I sell in) and my daughter!  It was easy to follow and fun to make… So much fun in fact I found a pattern for an infant that was similar…  It is The Silly Simple Elf Hat by Convival Crafter… So cute!  Click HERE for the link to the Free Pattern!

Love this colorful hat!!!

.

Like I said,,, The Elf hat inspired me to find an infant size hat for the Christmas season… I found the perfect one from one of my favorite sites… Busting Stitches!  These hats are fabulous!!!  It took about 1 hour to make each hat and everyone was loving these!  The Free Pattern is called Santa’s Little Elf Hat… I whipped up 4 of them today…  Click HERE for the Free Pattern.

A Crochet-A-Long… You decide the project!!!!

.

Happy November!  I have been tossing around the idea of having a Crochet-A-Long starting in January 2014…  Since I am like all of you yarnies… I can’t decide what it will be… I always have tons of work in progress projects!  So what better than leave it up to Viewer Choice!!!!  You all were so supportive during the voting for the final Amazing Grace Pattern poll… I thought…hmmmm… Lets do another poll!!!!

crochet a long

.

So here are my thoughts… Start crocheting in January…I will make a fabulous design for us…  You choose what it will be!!!!  The winning vote will determine not only the project… but also the length of time!  A blanket may take a couple of months… A hat maybe a week…  Let’s have some FUN!!!!.

Voting closes December 15th, 2013
