Some days I just want to sit and crochet and not try to work up a new design in my head… I have been seeing the viral 6 Day Star Blanket by Betty McKnit for so long now and decided to give it a go! Do you want to make it with me???
I am not going to finish in 6 days… To much life going on… New designs of my own on my hook and gardening… However, I am setting a timer to see how long it actually takes…. I’m also not sure how big I will make it.
After making the set up rounds, you repeat 6 rounds over and over until you reach your desired blanket(or run out of yarn lol).
Each time I finish a section(ie set up rounds and each 6 row repeat,) I will post pics and check in with you!

I grabbed my scrap yarn and off I went… I chose to use 7 of my scrap yarn colors that coordinated(with the variegated yarn) so that the color rotation would change up for each 6 round repeat… I did 2 rounds of each color! I used an H hook for this section.
Here is the set up round… I chose for this section to do the 1st 5 rounds in one color, then 2 rows each of the next 2 colors for the total of the 9 set up rounds. This took about 2 hours of crocheting, including reading over the instructions, getting my yarn and hook ready and yes a tad bit of frogging lol. At this point mine measured approximately 13″ from point to point.
The pattern is beginner friendly, you just have to pay attention to where the stitches go and watch your stitch count… The way she writes the pattern(with asterisk and parenthesies) is a little different than how I write my patterns, but great and she has very detailed instructions on that too!
