What you need:

Yarn~ Your stash of worsted weight yarn. Minimum of 3 colors 400 yards each(I used 9 colors). You will hold 3 strands together, but the more colors the better!!!

I chose 9 of these colors from my stash to complete this rug.

Hook~ P

Scissors and Yarn Needle

Non-Skid Rug Mat

Size:

21″ x 34″ after blocking

Stitches:

  • St – Stitch
  • Ch – Chain
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • Sc – Single Crochet

Instructions:

Tip – When changing color start with 3 different colors… I changed 1 strand at a time and carried my Yellow yarn through the whole project, just alternating the change of color with the other 2 colors in a large variety of colors. I used 9 total colors

Tip – For the first few rows, I placed stitch markers in the middle st of the 3 sts(corner) so it was easy to know what st to make the corners in. After a few rows it was easy to see and I didn’t use the markers any longer.

**If using your rug on a non-carpeted surface, make sure to use a non-skid pad underneath!

I used 9 of the colors in my stash… I have tons left.. So I will be making a larger rug to eat more of that stash up.. Stay tuned for another version of this rug!

Sweetwater Infinity Scarf… Free Crochet Pattern!

Sweetwater Infinity Scarf… Free Crochet Pattern!

This fun and bright Sweetwater Infinity Scarf is easy to make using a one row repeat!!! A slight chevron pattern gives it a beautiful texture and using Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn does all the color work for you.. Perfect fashion accessory and gift idea too!!

I’m excited to be a part of the 2019 International Crochet Month Designer Showcase with Underground Crafter and to celebrate.. I have designed a brand new free pattern! Sweetwater Infinity Scarf was designed especially for National Crochet Month and this event!! Every day in March 2019, we’ll highlight a different crochet designer who is also a member of the Crochet Guild of America,,, So make sure to go check out the schedule!!!. Each designer will share a free crochet pattern or a 25% discount on a premium pattern. We’ve also partnered with some of our favorite companies to round up some great prizes for you — including yarn, crochet hooks, notions, pattern books, and more! Find out more information about the participating designers, the schedule, and how to enter to win the prizes HERE.

Before we start this fun new pattern, I would love to share a little information about Crochet Guild of America. It’s volunteer run and the only national organization dedicated to the craft of crochet! I became a member shortly before going to San Diego, CA in July of 2015 for my first crochet conference. At the conference, I took classes from some of the industry’s top instructors and because I was a member, I received a big discount on those classes! On top of receiving member discounts on educational classes, as a member, you’ll also receive a subscription to Crochet! magazine, discounts to several suppliers (such as Annies & Leisure Arts), and my favorite benefit… connecting with others at conferences who are as passionate about crochet as I am! I have made life long friends at these conferences and love attending!! I have been a part of the Social Media Team the last 3 years providing Live Videos of the conferences and last year was the Market Place Chairman.

So.. Are you ready for my latest Free Crochet Pattern?????
