I loved designing  this lovely square and can’t wait to whip up several to join into a bright and fun afghan!!  Each square measures 12″ x 12″, but you can adjust the size by stopping at any point to make it smaller or adding additional double crochet and single crochet rounds to make it larger!

Let’s get started with this weeks assignment!

Week 10 Instructions…

(*Tip ~ To make sure you get your stitches spaced evenly, Before you start crocheting,,,Fold your strip in half and place a marker at the fold(your mid point of the strip), you will want approx. 70 stitches on each side of the marker.  To make it even easier, place another marker half way from the the middle to each end.. You will have 4 sections using this method down the side of the rows. This will divide your strip into 4 sections down the row sides)

1: Using your Block Strip first, we will begin by working down the side of the rows.  We will be Single crocheting all the way around to make our strips uniform and even!  Begin by joining your neutral yarn to the top row at the side. Single crochet 141 Stitches evenly down the side of your rows. 3 Sc in the corner stitch. Sc 27 stitches across the bottom of your strip(Not including the last stitch of the bottom, this will be your corner). 3 Sc in the next corner stitch. Sc 141 evenly across the next side of your strip. 3 Sc in the next corner stitch. Sc 27 across the top or your strip(not including the last stitch. 3 Sc in the last corner stitch. Join with Sl St to the beginning Sc. Finish off.

2: Using the remaining 6 Strips.Repeat this for each strip ~  Single crochet 141 Stitches evenly down the side of your rows. 3 Sc in the corner stitch. Sc 13 stitches evenly across the bottom of your strip(Not including the last stitch of the bottom, this will be your corner). 3 Sc in the next corner stitch. Sc 141 evenly across the next side of your strip. 3 Sc in the next corner stitch. Sc 13 evenly across the top or your strip(not including the last stitch. 3 Sc in the last corner stitch. Join with Sl St to the beginning Sc. Finish off.
