Breast Cancer Awareness… If you have been following along,,, Or just stopped by my blog after seeing one of my FREE PATTERNS… You know I have a place in my heart for Breast Cancer… My last 2 Free Crochet Patterns, the Amazing Grace Series have been dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness…

This weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday… I bought some really nice yarn… Bernat Sequins… I decided each skein would make at least 1 Amazing Grace Headband… So I grabbed my hook and whipped a few up… I loved the way these headbands turned out with the sequins!… The yarn is soft and nice to work with too… Such a bonus!. The picture below doesn’t really show how beautiful the sequins are…
.
I Love, Love, Love the colors and the pink is fabulous for our cause!
.
The pictures don’t do them justice! I am saving up for a new camera!!!!!
.
Also this weekend I set out to finalize my “Sadie” Pattern… The 1920’s Style Cloche... While typing it up so it can be digitally sent… My computer crashed (yes, every writer’s nightmare) and I lost what I had been typing… All is good though… I just restarted my process and it is almost finalized… I hope you all are looking forward to this great hat!

In December 2007 My dearest and best friend passed away from Breast Cancer. I stood by her side through diagnosis, treatment, surgery and death… This Amazing Grace Pattern Series is in memory of her, Sandra Kay Gilb… And with the hope it may help others survive and get early treatment by funds raised with sales of these projects and donations of projects to those who need some comfort.
.
I am currently working with Elk Studio from the Heart Charity to donate in October to Crochet for Cancer… I am donating 12 hats in the series. If you are interested in donating to Crochet for Cancer or Joining our Elk Studio Group… Here is the info…
