Check out this fun crochet design book by Charles Voth!!!  Emoji’s are “the thing” right now and Charles has created 20 designs for us to create so many fun items!!!

Just think of the gift possibilities!!! Birthdays, Christmas or Hanukkah, Baby Shower and just because,,, These cute Emoji Designs would make a perfect crochet gift…

This awesome 127 page book has 20 easy to make projects!! As you can see by the photo, lots of great Emoji’s… Some of my favorite projects in the book include  The Big Grin Hoodie, this pattern is designed for sizes child 2 thru adult 3x!! Chillin Out Cushion and the Stinky Foot Ottoman are also soooooo cute!!.. I know my grandkids will love one of these for Christmas!!!!

Simply August Boho Bag CAL.. Week 2 Instructions!!!

 

Here we are… Week 2, Your bottom of your bag is complete and you have started the sides in week 1… Are you ready to complete the bag this week?? Next week we move to the handles, and blocking the bag to finish it off… Wow.. This is going fast!!!

If you missed out on joining us in the beginning of the CAL,, Still plenty of time to catch up!!!  All the weeks are provided in the Crochet with Me CAL tab at the top of the page…

Lets get started with Week 2!!

Rounds 11- 20 … You will repeat rows 9 & 10

Round 21:  Ch 1, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in the next 9 stitches, *sc in the next 5 sts, hdc in next st*, repeat * to * 4 more times, hdc in next 8 sts, repeat * to * 4 more times, join with sl st to the beginning sc. = 50 sc & 26 hdc

Round 22:  ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 76 sc

Round 23:  Ch 1, sc in next 5 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the next 4 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the  next 31 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the next 4 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the last 24 sts, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 72 sc

Round 24:  Ch 1, sc in 1st 8 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the next 34 sts, decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in the next 26 sts, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 70 sc

Round 25:  Ch 1, Reverse sc around in each st. Join with a sl st to the beginning. = 70 reverse sc’s.

Finish off and weave in ends.

Are you ready to start the Simply August Boho Bag??  Ok.. Here is week 1!!  We will be working on the bottom base of the bag and setting the stage for the sides!!

Stitches ~

St – Stitch     Sl St – Slip Stitch     Sk – Skip     Ch – Chain     Sc – Single Crochet     Hdc – Half Double Crochet     Dc – Double Crochet     Bpsc – Back Post Single Crochet     Fpdc – Front Post Double Crochet     Shell – 5dc in same st

Week 1 Instructions ~

Bottom of Bag

Holding 2 strands of yarn together, Ch 26.

Row 1.  Sc in the  2nd ch from the hook and each ch across. = 25 sc

Row 2.    Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.  = 25 sc

You will now be working in the round.

Round 3.  Ch 1, 3 sc in next st(1st corner), 1 sc in the side of the rows to work across to the bottom of  the beginning ch, 3 sc in next st(2nd corner, this will be in the 1st chain of beginning, sc in next 23 sts, 3 sc in next st(3rd corner), 1 sc in side of rows, 3 sc in next st(4th corner), sc in last 23, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 60 sc

Round 4.  Ch 1, sc in 1st st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 25 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 24 sts, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 68  sc

Round 5.  Ch 1, sc in 1st 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 27 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 25 sts, join with sl st to beginning sc. = 76 sc

Round 6.  Ch 1, Bpsc in each st around, join with sl st to beg sc. = 76 Bpsc

Round 7.  Ch 1, sc in each st around, Join with sl st to beginning sc. = 76 sc

Side of bag

Round 8.  Ch 3( Counts as Dc now and throughout), 4 dc in same st(completes 1 shell), sk 2 sts, hdc in next 9 sts, *sk 2 sts, shell in next st, sk 2, hdc in next st*, repeat *to* 4 more times, hdc in next 8 sts, repeat * to * 4 more times, join to top of beginning ch 3. = 26 hdc & 10 Shells

Round 9.  Sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3, 4 dc in same st(shell made), sk 2 sts, fpdc around next st, hdc in next 7 sts, fpdc around next st, * sk 2 sts, shell in next st, sk 2 sts, fpdc around next st*, repeat *to* 4 more times, hdc in next 7 sts, fpdc around next st, repeat *to* 4 more times, join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3. = 10 shells, 14 hdc & 10 fpdc
