The Amazing Grace Pretty in Pink Poncho is the 25th free pattern in the Amazing Grace Series… This series is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and to my dearest friend Sandy and mother who both passed away from Breast Cancer. Every Amazing Grace pattern has a series of stitches that are always the same and easy to make… I encourage you to make these items for those suffering from cancer or other life tragedies . Yarn~ 880 yards worsted weight yarn. I used 3 skeins of Red Heart Roll With It Tweed in Popular Pink

Hook~ I

2 Stitch Markers

Scissors and Yarn Needle

Stitches:

  • St – Stitch
  • Ch – Chain
  • Sk – Skip
  • Sp – Space
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Hdc – Half Double Crochet
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • Trc – Treble Crochet
  • Picot- Ch 3, Sl St in base of first ch
  • Reverse Sc

Gauge:

Double Crochet – 3″ x 3″ = 9 dc x 5 rows

Size:

After Blocking -24″ neckline to bottom tip x 96″ around bottom base

The Coffee & Cream Poncho was a special project I decided to design when Red Heart Yarns and my dear friend Marly Bird asked me to join the Chic Sheep Designer Blog Tour!  Red Heart Yarns provided me with the fabulous Chic Sheep 100% Merino Wool Yarn and I have to say… I LOVE THIS YARN!!!! Marly Bird worked endlessly to have a very special wool yarn line for all of us avid crocheters to use!  It is soft, squishy and very easy to work with… This fantastic yarn comes in 24 scrumptious colors and will be on my list for many of my upcoming projects!
