220 yards of #6 Super Bulky Bernat Blanket Yarn Ethereal Stripes in the color Nightshade

P hook

Scissors and yarn needle

Stitches:

St – Stitch

Sp – Space

Sk – Skip

Instructions:

This is the stitch pattern known as the Moss Stitch or Linen Stitch

*I started using the end on the outside of the skein. When I got to the last color there was only about 10 yards left so I used that as the edging. If your skein isn’t that way, leave about 10 yards at the end to do the border.

1. Ch 14

2. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 1, sk ch, sc in next ch*, repeat *to* across. = 7 sc & 6 ch 1 sps

3. Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st and ch 1 sp, *ch 1, sk st, sc in next ch sp*, repeat *to* across, sc in last st. = 8 sc & 5 ch 1 sps

4. Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, *ch 1, sk st, sc in next sp*, repeat *to* across ending with a sc in the last st. = 7 sc & 6 ch 1 sps

4-56. Repeat rows 2 & 3, then end with a row 2 until you have approx. 10 Yards of yarn left or you reach your desired length if you want your shorter.

Border:

57. Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, *ch 2, sk st, sc in next sp*, repeat *to* across ending with a sc in the last st. 7 sc & 6 ch 2 sps

58. Ch1, turn, sc in each st and ch sp across. = 13 sc
