Loops & Chains Super Scrubby Dishcloth is a simple, fun~free pattern!!! It is a take-along, tv watching, weekend project! Great gift idea too! This easy 2 row pattern repeat pattern will always be one of your favorites!

Materials:

  • Yarn~ Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn 200 yards
  • Hook~ I
  • Scissors

Stitches:

  • St – Stitch
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • Ch – Chain
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Bl – Back Loop

Instructions:

*Tips – This is a 2 row repeat, one row will be worked in the Bl of Sc row you just worked, the second row will be worked in the unworked loop of the same Sc Row after turning.

Row 1: Ch 20, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across. = 19 sc

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, bl st in 1st st, *ch 4, sl st in next st*, repeat *to* across. = 19 bl sl sts & 18 ch 4’s (make sure all ch 4’s are pushed to the back side, which is the right side)

Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st unworked loop from round 1 and each across.(opposite from the bl you sl st in from round 2), *Tip – It is easy to miss the 1st st to work in, so make sure you look at where your last st from row 2 ended and go in the opposite loop. – 19 sc

Rows 4-35: Repeat rows 2 & 3.

Edging

Row 36: 2 more sc in same st(makes a corner), sc 17 sts evenly down side of rows, 3 sc in 1st st of row 1, sc in next 17 sts, 3 sc in last st of row 1, sc 17 sts evenly up side of rows, 2 sc in 1st st of row 35, sl st in same st. finish off.

That’s it!!! You now have a Loops & Chains Super Scrubby… Great for dusting, dishes, bath time and much more!!! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow crochet friend’s!!  As a gift to you I made 3 new free crochet patterns to celebrate you and all of the mother’s we love… You still have time to whip these up as a fun gift for the mother you love!!  Using Red Heart Scrubby yarn, these work up quickly and are the perfect dishcloth to cheer up the kitchen!!

#1 Random Stripe Scrubby     #2 Geometric Scrubby     #3 Circle Scrubby


Materials:

Red Heart Scrubby- Approx. 20 yards each color per scrubby ~ Pictured here I used Duckie, Zesty and Bubble Gum

I ~ Hook

Stitches:

St ~ Stitch     Ch ~ Chain     Sc ~ Single Crochet     Sl St ~ Slip St

Sizing:

Each dishcloth is approximately 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″


Instructions:

#1 Random Stripes Scrubby

*Color A – Bubble Gum     Color B – Zesty     Color C – Duckie*

Beginning with Color A

Ch 21

Row 1:  Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across. = 20 sc

Row 2 & 3:  Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Change to color B

Rows 4-8:  Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Change to color C

Rows 9 & 10: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Change to color A

Rows 11 & 12:  Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Change to color B

Rows 13-17:  Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Change to color A

Rows 18-20:  Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. = 20 sc

Row 21:  Turn, Sl St in each st across.

Finish off.  Weave in ends

 

#2 Geometric Scrubby

*Color A – Zesty     Color B – Duckie     Color C – Bubble Gum*

*Tip – For the second half of the scrubby, you will be using 2 colors per row… you will just drop one color and pick up the second without cutting the yarn. To change colors here is a link to show the correct process – Changing Colors

Ch 21

Row 1:  Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and each across. = 20 sc

Rows 2-10:  Ch 1, turn, sc across.= 20 sc

Change to color B

Row 11:  Ch 1, turn,  sc in 1st 10 sts, change to color C, sc in last 10 sts. = 20 sc

Row 12:  Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st 10 sts, change to color B, sc in last 10 sts.  = 20 sc

Rows 13-20: Repeat rows 11 & 12

Row 21: Repeat row 11.

Finish off and weave in ends.

 

#3 Circle Scrubby

*Color A – Bubble Gum     Color B – Duckie     Color C – Duckie*

Using color A

Ch 2

Round 1:  8 sc in the 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st. = 8 sc

Round 2:  Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st. = 16 sc

Round 3: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next st, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next st*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 24 sc

Round 4:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 2 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 32 sc

Change to color B

Round 5:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 3 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 40 sc

Round 6:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 4 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 48 sc

Round 7:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 5 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 56 sc.

Round 8:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 6 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 64 sc

Change to color C

Round 9:  Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next 7 sts, * 2 sc in next st, sc in next 7 sts*, repeat * * around, join with sl st. = 72 sc

Round 10:  Ch 1, turn, sc around, join with sl st. = 72 sc

Finish off and weave in ends.


Congratulations!!  You now have 3 brand new Cheery Kitchen Scrubby’s!!

If you are looking for a quick and easy, free dishcloth pattern… The Totally Triangle Dishcloth is the perfect project for you!!  Made with cotton yarn, it is a textural, absorbent kitchen delight!  Make in any color combination and give as a gift with a fun bottle of dish soap or with a bar of soap for a bath/spa treat!!


Materials:

Scraps of cotton yarn totaling approximately 50 yards or less. I used Lily’s Cream and Sugar!

Hook… H

Stitches:

St ~ Stitch     Ch ~ Chain     Sl St ~ Slip Stitch     Sc ~ Single Crochet      Dc ~ Double Crochet     BLdc ~Back Loop Double Crochet     Reverse Sc ~ Reverse Single Crochet

Tips:

I like to use a Standing Dc to start each row… Click Here for video tutorial by Moogly!

When adding 3 or 5 stitches in one stitch, that will make one of the 3 corners.


Instructions:

Using the 1st color, ch 2

Round 1:  6 sc in the 1st st ch. Join with sl st. = 6 sc

Round 2:  Ch 1, 3 sc in same st(corner st), sc in next st, *3 sc in next st, sc in next st*, repeat * * one more time. Join with sl st. = 12 sc

Change Color

Working in the back loops…

Round 3: Join to the center st of a corner in the Bl, Standing Bldc (or ch 3),  2 Bldc in same st, Bldc in next 3 sts, *3 Bldc in next st, Bldc in next 3 sts*, repeat * * 1 more time. Join with sl st. = 18 Bldc

Change Color

Round 4: Join to the center st of a corner in the Bl, Standing Bldc (or ch 3),  4 Bldc in same st, Bldc in next 5 sts, *5 Bldc in next st, Bldc in next 5 sts*, Repeat * * 1 more time. Join with sl st. =30 Bldc

Change Color

Round 5:  Join to the center st of a corner in the Bl, Standing Bldc (or ch 3), 4 Bldc in same st, 2 Bldc in next st, *Bldc in next 7 sts, 2 Bldc in next st, 5 Bldc in next st, 2 Bldc in next st*, Repeat * * 1 more time, Bldc in next 7 sts, 2 Bldc in next st. Join with sl st. = 48 Bldc

Change Color

Round 6:  Join to the center st of a corner in the Bl, Standing Bldc (or ch 3),  4 Bldc in same st, 2 Bldc in next st, *Bldc in next 13 sts, 2 Bldc in next st, 5 Bldc in next st, 2 Bldc in next st*, Repeat * * 1 more time, Bldc in next 13 sts, 2 Bldc in next st. Join with sl st. = 66 Bldc

Change Color

Round 7:  Join to the center st of a corner in the Bl, Standing Bldc (or ch 3),  4 Bldc in same st, 2 Bldc in next st, *Bldc in next 19 sts, 2 Bldc in next st, 5 Bldc in next st, 2 Bldc in next st*, Repeat * * 1 more time, Bldc in next 19 sts, 2 Bldc in next st. Join with sl st. = 84 Bldc

Change Color

Round 8: Join in any st, reverse sc around. Join with sl st.

Finish off ~ Weave in ends


Congratulations!!  You now have a Totally Triangle DishCloth…
