Beatrice Ryan Designs,,, Crochet-A-Long… Are you ready??

Just a few more days to go and our hooks will all be working on a new fabulous project!!!!  Next Saturday (the 18th)  I will post the first segment of the pattern for our Crochet-A-Long…  This is a Free Crochet Pattern to all participants and the only requirement is that you have FUN!  Thanks to all of you who voted for  our Viewers Choice Crochet-A-Long!!!  I was excited you chose an Afghan!! I have designed it, crocheted the first section and have written it for  next Saturday!!!

If you haven’t done a Crochet-A-Long before… This is how it will work!…..

1.You can find the Materials List already posted in the Crochet-A-Long tab at the top of the page.  As well as each weekly pattern post!

2.Each Saturday I will post the weekly segment of the pattern that you will complete by the next Friday.

3.Friday Evenings we will have Show and Tell on my Facebook Page… You can post comments and pictures on the designated Pinned Post on Facebook.

4.You can Join in on Ravelry in my CAL Group for more fun and discussions…

6.One last thing… We will be having a vote at the end to name this afghan!!! So stay tuned and let’s have some fun!!!

Oh… And would you like a peak at Week One???  Shhhhhh…. Yes we begin with a Granny! But, that is just the beginning!!  Lots of design elements and  fun,,, I can’t wait for you to see how this design turns out!!

Wednesday Facebook Fan Favorite… Week 21

As the Arctic Vortex whips through the United States and freezes a large part of our country, many of us are crocheting to pass the time while we are trying to stay warm…What a way to start the new year!!!!  Today’s Facebook Fan Favorite it the first one for the year and it will keep you cozy in this chilly weather!  This design is from one of my favorite designers,,, Bonita Patterns… She is famous for her Crocodile Stitch projects and I have made several of her patterns!  This is a free one from her and well worth checking out!!!  So here it is… Our first Fan Favorite for the year… Reversible Textured Slouch & Crocodile Stitch DOUBLE LAYERED Flower by Bonita Patterns!  Click here for the Free Crochet Pattern.

Don’t you love this hat?? I do and the flower is made from her signature Crocodile Stitch Pattern!!!  This will definitely be on my to-do a list for this year!!.

And,,, Hang out on Ravelry too… We have a large group of you who have joined  over there… It will be another great place to hang out and crochet!!  I am beyond excited!! I have written and crocheted the first weeks section and will be taking the pictures this weekend…

Weekend WIP’s and Pattern Review… Whats on your hook?? Lets chat!!

It Saturday and I am sooooo excited!~!!!

I am off to buy my yarn to start the Viewer’s Choice Crochet-A-Long… I have the design sketched out and a color scheme decided…  Today I will head to JoAnns… along with my coupons to purchase my yarn…  I will also be grabbing a few other much-needed supplies for my crochet addition!  The closest JoAnns is over an hour away… So it is a big treat to go buy yarn!  We do have a local yarn shop here in my town… So don’t get me wrong… I love to buy yarn there…But for this project, they don’t have the yarn I need at the price I can afford…  I try to make at least 1-2 purchases a month at our LYS…

So, My weekend WIP is getting started with the CAL Afghan!  I will be posting the materials list this week after I get a little more of the design put together…  On Saturday January 18th I will post the first Pattern Segment for our CAL… Each Saturday I will post a segment for a week’s worth of crochet… Each segment will be easy to complete in the time-frame… The following Friday we will have “Show and Tell” over on Facebook… And if you get a little behind,  the pattern will remain posted throughout the whole process. Now for a little pattern review… This week I worked on two of my own patterns…The little shop I sell in Alpine Originals needed to be restocked and so I had fun working up these two patterns… Amazing Grace Hats and Twisted Stitches Coffee Cozies…  Both of these patterns are available for free in my pattern tab at the top right of this page… It was fun to work on these patterns again… They are easy and quick to work up!!!
