How to stay organized when working on a multi-colored afghan… I place all my yarn in a shallow plastic tote, along with my scissors, hook and other needed amenities… As I make the squares for a Granny Afghan, I also keep them lined up in the tote…This method helps keep the yarn tidy, clean and easy access when I want to pull out my project! No more looking for my silly hook… And the bonus is… If I put it away for a long period of time… Everything is there when I am ready to crochet and no questioning what hook I was using!
Happy Hooking!!

I absolutely love to crochet!!! If a day goes by without a hook in my hand… I feel sort of lost! So many of us talk about all our projects we are working on and how many we have stashed away… I am the Queen of that!! I thought I would take a moment to see if I could check some of those off my list this weekend… And the big answer was NO… I just decided to add more to my list…. Love to Crochet!!!

If you remember from last year… I made a Beautiful Cream and Scrap Sunburst Granny… I loved it so much that I thought I would make another!!! This pattern is from Priscillas Crochet… You can Click Here to get her Free Pattern!!

I am just a small town girl... well, woman! I was born and raised in Mt Shasta California and have raised my three children here in this mountain community. I have the pure joy of also having three beautiful grandchildren.. When I was 10 my grandmother taught me to crochet,,, A Granny Square patten was my first project. Her name was Beatrice Ryan Ramshaw, a tiny Irish powerhouse! All my memories include her crocheting... Tablecloths, slippers, doilies and blankets. As a young woman the bug got me,,, I began crocheting and haven't stopped! 50 years of experience and many beautiful projects under my belt.... Join me in this journey,,, passed down from generation to generation... keeping alive the skills and beauty of Crochet!
