Also, I can’t wait to share some of the pics I took and my upcoming Crochet projects! I hope you are enjoying this new weekly adventure as I share my life, crocheting, homemaking and gardening with you!

Here is how my week played out… Don’t miss the pictures at the bottom of upcoming patterns!
Firstly, I was really excited because Mr. B(one of my all time besties) invited me down to do some lake time for a few days and one of his life long friends was coming up to… In addition, our good friends S & J came up to his house to do lake days too… We had a blast… so much that I forgot to to get pics… But, I did get some of a lake day just Mr. B and I had… wait until you see the ducks!
We enjoyed the lake so much, spent the whole day just relaxing… and then…..
These two beautiful ducks joined us… but that’s not all they did…
They joined me on the back boat deck…. and….
Mr. B decided to come check them out too… But the funniest part comes next in the video below…
Both of us were laughing so hard!!!!
Of course stayed as long as we could… Eating our snacks, having a couple drinks and lastly enjoying the sunset!
One of the evenings I was there Mr. B and I went out to dinner and drinks with our friends S & J… Love them to pieces… Hope to see them again soon!
Mr. B lives just about an hour down the canyon from me… My little town Mt. Shasta is sweet and quaint, but I do most of my shopping down the canyon… One of the days that is exactly how we spent our day, Shopping… Fun!
I headed back up the hill on Tuesday morning because I had plans for lunch with my good friend Ms R.. Always love spending time with her!
This is a pic of Mt Shasta coming up the canyon on Tuesday… about 15 miles from home!
Here she is, Mt Shasta… Cloudy Summer Evening!
Once I arrived back home, I had to tend to the garden and house… and of course get crocheting! My garden produces way more than I can eat, so I do share… but also freeze dry a lot of it for future use! And Miss Ziggy was very happy I was home!
Tons of fruit and veggies…. Gotta get busy putting it away!
My garden has tons of flowers too… I sure will miss Summertime bouquets! Just incase you were wondering… I get quite a bit of snow here in the Winter… Love that too!
I did get some great patio time on my patio too!
Ok, now let’s chat Crochet!!! Each evening(even at Mr. B’s) I try to sit down and get some crochet done! Last week I showed a small pic of a special granny blanket pattern I am working on… It is getting closer! I finished a summer shawl that will be published for free very soon and just got started on a bag project to publish soon too!
Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will have this ready to add to my free patterns! I love these colors and can’t wait to share with you a new way I chose them… Stay tuned for the pattern post!
Just finished this Summertime Shawl… The Free Pattern should be out next week!
Have my yarn, bag, hook and scissors all set to create the next design… I can’t wait to show you!!
Of course Miss Ziggy has to help with all of my crochet projects… I swear, she sleeps more than any cat I have ever had!
Ok.. That is how my week went… So fun, and the last thing I would love to share with you is another tip for diet and health… I found this great Peanut Butter/Chocolate protein powder from Java City… One change I am trying to up my protein intake and this delicious smoothie does the trick(recipe in the pic below)! I use my Ninja Blast to whip them up and take along…

This week, I am headed back to Mr. B’s today for a couple more lake days and fun with him! When I get home my two girls will be coming to visit…. I am looking forward to seeing them… The reasons for their homecoming visit are sad and difficult and I will share more about that in my next weekly post.
